Working in New York City requires a lot, and Simon Davison thrives on the energy. But when congestive heart failure threatened to derail Simon’s ability to live freely, he struggled to keep up. As someone who works in construction, Simon knows what it’s like for things to work as they should, and he knew his body was failing him. So when his doctor discovered that his heart was functioning at only 15%, Simon scheduled a procedure the next day. Now, thanks to the team at Stony Brook and a new Left Ventricular Assist Device, Simon is back on his feet and exploring the city he loves more than ever.
